Moral Dilemma

I want to buy something at the store that costs about, $7.27. I've got a $5 bill and 80 cents in quarters/dimes.

That leaves me short by about, $1.47.

Now, I've got a large jar of pennies...but none of the little rolls. Would it be acceptable to walk into a store with $1.47 in pennies? Would that make me an ass?

It may be annoying but it is legal tender so it's not a problem, other than annoying the cashier. If it's something you really want, go for it.

coinstar?

Some places won't accept pennies if they aren't rolled. Might as well try though. That or buy some rolls with the $5 and start rolling the pennies.

Don't have a coinstar here. Good news though; found four rolls which is $2 worth of pennies. Would they be pissed off if I gave them four rolls? 😵

I hate to do this to people. It makes me feel horrible. I probably wouldn't have gone if I hadn't found the rolls...but since I did...brb.
