I know there are already threads about this but please allow me this one:

I live about a mile north of that elementary school, on the same street and right now Moore does not have power, running water, and Moore residents can really use a helping hand.

Please help us by donating to appropriate charities. I call Moore my hometown for the last 11 years and it is an amazing community. Good place to raise a family with its outstanding people. We help one another here but right now we are simply overwhelmed.

It would have hit our sub-division if it hadn't changed its trajectory at the last minute. I could hear its train-like sounds passing over us as we hid under our storm cellar.

Please help and also say a prayer tonight for those still-missing children.

We care! And we'll be there with prayer and the resources our human compassion demands...

I am currently at my orientation for Kellogg and we were just talking about how Kellogg reaches out to communities affected by disasters to make sure the Children and the people are able to eat during these rough times.

I will definitely bring you guys up to make sure we are doing everything we can to make sure you guys are taken care of while you deal with this horrible tragedy.

I also have O Neg blood which means I am a universal donor so I will also be donating blood to support the effort down there.

I hope you are okay.

I've donated to the red cross, my prayers are with those going through this devastation. As a father of three young children, I can't even begin to understand what the parents of the missing / killed children are going through right now :(

just want to give an update, some storm cellars (like mine) built inside garages which happened to be in the tornado's path had their lids (half an inch or more thick of steel) peeled back like the lid of a sardine can.
