The activist, best-selling author and Academy Award-winning filmmaker has two new books coming out, publisher Simon & Schuster announced Wednesday.

?Our goal is to have both books out before Election Day,? said Simon & Schuster spokeswoman Victoria Meyer.

?The Official ?Fahrenheit 9-11? Reader? is a companion book to the scheduled DVD release of Moore?s controversial documentary about President Bush, the terrorist attacks and the Iraq war.

The other release is a collection of letters written to Moore from U.S. troops in Iraq, ?Will They Ever Trust Us Again??

I'm not sure if his stuff is helping or hurting Bush. Oh well, you either hate him or love him. Flame on.

Meh. I could care less. I don't think MM actually persuades anybody anymore. Those who are anti-Bush like him, those who are pro-Bush hate him - he's pretty much polarized all he can. I doubt I will bother with either book.

OT, but can anyone recommend a decent right book? I really liked "Lying Liars" and would like to see a similar book from the other point of view. You know, witty and not too self-serving. Probably the wrong thread to ask in, I know. ;)

Maybe the new Ben Stein book? Stay away from the Coutler, Hannity, O'Liely stuff.

The Stein book actually seems like a very interesting read.

Perhaps. The same can certainly be said for Limbaugh, Hannity, Coulter, & Co., yet I haven't seen you level the same charge at them. For that matter, the same could be said of Bush, Cheney, and all the lesser neo-cons -- as well as many on the left. They're all in it for personal gain, NOT public service.

Moore's gift is that he can take a lot of boring facts and figures and put them together in a package entertaining enough to hold the attention of average Americans. There was little new in Fahrenheit 9/11. Anyone willing to do some digging could find that information, and many political junkies did (including people here). They couldn't make it interesting enough for the masses, however. Moore did, and millions of Americans know more about Bush because of him.

One would assume the Reader will refute the assorted attacks launched by the Bushies, force them to invent new disinformation to try to discredit the movie.
