hello guys,
i plan on buying msi 6800gt on a 425w PSU
i've read some people saying they encountered problems
with that kind of card on a 480w psu which were sold after upgrading
to a 550 psu...
i mean come oooonnnn do i really need that much?
those babes (psu-s) cost a lot
are those 6800gt-s really that thirsty?
thanx

um, I have it running on a shuttle 240.

Only way you have upgrade is if you have a crappy no name PSU.

No, in fact a quality 350 watt PSU will run it just fine as long as you don't overclock.

Shuttle 240Watt for Rage 187. That spec is well well over what you need. Nvidia assumes you have a cheapo generic PSU. IIRC the GT only uses around 110Watt max load, and the X800XT only uses like 87 Max load. Youll be fine!
