Good movie. Give the man a best actor. I think the script must have been specifically written for the lead actor to win a best actor.

Acting was top notch, I agree he should receive an award. The plot was absolutely NOT what I was expecting, but it was entertaining.

Indeed, this was a fantastic film, I'm glad the DVD finally came out because It was almost a 2 hour drive to find a theater that actually showed this ... and I wanted to see it again after watching it this summer :)

That said .... I doubt Rockwell will win any "big" awards, usually the awards for best actor always go to a big blockbuster, not some limited release 5 million dollar indie film.

I personally think the movie should also get the award for best special effects. Yes, District 9 was "cool" and had more action, but the usage of miniatures for moon, and the amazing level of achievement when you take into context the amount they paid to do it, was off the scale.

Duncan Jones did a great job with this too.

great movie. good story, i wish they made more sci-fi movies like this one. and i agree, i think rockwell is deserving of the best actor for his performance. fat chance of it happening, let alone him getting nominated but if he won best actor thatd be pretty damn cool.

I really wanted to see this, but seriously, the suspense is weak. From the trailers, I was expect him to find his clone way later, not right in the first half.

****spolier?****

Is this one about the clones?

If so, I loved it. One of the best movies I saw in 09.

I dunno about those saying fat chance for Rockwell. There are always a few underdogs that get in and the film itself got a lot of critical attention, so it isn't like the academy doesn't know about it.The role itself is perfect for the award, and it would move Rockwell up to the A list.

But I'm not really familiar with 2009 films and what his competition is.. I always seem to ignore movies until this time of year when I catch up on all the previous year's releases.

Can always look here: http://theenvelope.latimes.com/buzzmeter/oscars/best-actor/ for a guess list.

Bridges will be up for sure, probably Firth, Renner, maybe The Cloon. I really hope Stuhlbarg is up because he is awesome in that movie.

Should be a good contest this year.

thought it was overrated.
they never justified his existence on the damn base. hell his robot helper is smarter than him it seems. his massive upkeep cost and effort to keep him in the dark just doesn't add up.
