Moola - Theory and practice?

Ok, assuming that the given chance of winning each round is .5...

The probability of winning .02^X dollars is .5^X, right? So the expected value of each round is .02^X * .5^X? If so, the expected value seems to drop sharply every round... So as soon as you can make it to the $10.24 level, you should just cash out what you have?

has anyone here actually made any $ with moola?
That's what I'm wondering. Maybe I should cash out my 4 cents?

Here's the thing. Each time you play, the probability of winning .02^X = p^X, where X is the moolah level or number of wins, and p is the probability of winning each game.

Thus, the expected value can be calculated by (.02^X)/(p^X).

Expected values for each level, I would guess, are about the same, assuming you win half of the time. I'll do the math...

There's also some definite strategy in playing the games, especially Gold Rush. I imagine that an optimal strategy should exist.

I also have three invites, PM me your email address.

i find once you get to a high level you should play a level or two below what you can right... why risk it all to start the bottom so you have to win 5-10 more times to get into that same position>?

I get it! It's a way to get rid of excess money on the web. I'll have to give this a try when I get my payoff from that Nigerain Diplomat...

well someone else do the thinking. I already have dibbs on being _IT_

<crossedfingers>i look forward to sharing my million with others!!</crossedfingers>

So has there been a big $10mill winner?

Or are there people sitting in the higher levels just waiting for someone else to get up that high to challenge?

If 1 person "wins" every challenge it seems like they would have $10mill winners fairly often.
