Hmmm.

Moody's Analytics is an independent research group, but the lead author of the report on Clinton is Mark Zandi, who donated $2,700 to her campaign last year, according to data from the Center for Responsive Politics.

OP, you might want to get a second opinion on that since Moody's Analytics doesn't have a sterling track record for their predictions. I don't really have a dog in the fight so no reason to think it's motivated reasoning but it could be 100% accurate or also could be complete and utter shite. Just do your own due diligence and avoid confirmation bias when you see things like this.

I saw this too but thought it sounded too good to be true, just make a few simple changes and there will be 10 million more jobs!

That's how this shit works.

Check out his pre crisis predictions. Fucking hilarious.

About the only people that have been more wrong about everything have been the biggest fuck ups on the planet. Let's roll him in there with Ron paul, rand paul, schiff, some greenspan, the bernank...etc.

Theres a reason why he is moody's economist and not goldman or jpm economist. And even then, sell side economists have shitty records.

What's the accuracy of the forward curve?

Moody's published a similar analysis of Donald Trump's plans in June. It concluded that the Republican presidential nominee's policies would result in an economic downturn that would last longer than the Great Recession. About 3.5 million Americans would lose their jobs, unemployment would jump to 7% and home prices would fall.

I'll still be a student for the next couple years and falling house prices are just what I need by the time I finish. Sounds like Trump's my man. :awe:

Moody's found that several of Clinton's key policies would boost the economy: Her immigration proposal would increase the number of skilled workers in the country

Curious about the numbers here. Illegals granted amnesty for the most part are going to be unskilled workers, and outside of maybe engineering, it's not like we have a labor shortage in STEM. I mean, I'm all for bringing in educated Indians, Chinese, etc and staying competitive, but at least her brief immigration reform page on her website doesn't say much about this.

But more is always better. Especially more cheaper workers to displace Americans. Shit, fire all American it workers like disney did. That'll grow the economy to 10% a year.

Obama, the only president in us history to not have 1 year of 3% growth. Yay.

We'll then I'm convinced! lol

What made you think I was trying to convince you of anything.
The fact that Moody's Analytics is an independent research group and you find it suspicious that Zandi the donated $2,700 to Clinton's campaign while his work for the Republican candidate for president should be dismissed. Got it.

Moody's rated billions and billions of sub-prime loans as triple A. They got paid mucho extra fees by banks for doing so. Did anyone go to jail? Yes, I trust Moody's timing of releasing this projection. And they have such a wonderful track record.

The fact that Trump outsourced his own jobs to pay lower wages says enough about him. Federal law says that you can only bring in foreign workers on H1B visa if there are no American workers to perform the work and if you do you still have to pay them the same salary as an American worker.
