Is this a good sound card?

Yes. For Windows 9.x usage. It works like crap in Win2k, because there are no complete drivers for it. Trust me, I have the sound card, and its the biggest reason I am not in Win2k right now.

which model is better? The Montego II or the Montego II Quadzilla?

What are the differences?

Quadzilla supports 4 speaker surround sound setups, so it is considered to be a better card. (and allows them to charge more for it) I have a Turtle Beach Montego II as well as a generic Aureal card and a Diamond MX-300 and they work well in Windows 98SE. I have heard of driver difficulties in Windows 2000. The cards are dirt cheap, and a good value for the money, IMO.
