Hi didnt know where else to ask this question... I have a mont blanc mechanical pencil right now and love it. I had a roller ball loved that too till I lost it. I am looking to replace my pen and am thinking about buying a used one on ebay.

Ive heard a lot of people sell fakes of many different things on ebay. I was looking for some info/advice on buying something like a used expensive pen on ebay and also how to make sure its authentic? I think at this point I may have to take it to a jeweler, but it with a credit card through paypal and contest the charge if its fake...

Any other ideas? Also any other ideas on a good place to buy this pen? I was thinking office max but I see they only have pencils at this point.

Thanks.

For $200+ on a rollerball, people will make fakes.

I have a real rollerball, and I've seen a couple fakes.

The quality of fakes are getting better. But you can pretty much tell if you compare a real vs. fake side by side.

The real one have engravings all over and the pen iteslf is heavy and only take authentic Mont Blanc refills.

Actually I have always found Mont Blanc pens to be lite compared to others in the same "class"
