Better link without a potential referral:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00004Y2ZF
Why? What does it matter? So what if he's getting referral credit of some sort. He showed you the deal. He deserves credit for it.
Because of the rules:

NOTE: If a site requires you to refer others to their site or program to get the premium, or if they offer to keep paying you with cash or goodies to continue linking through them, the link is not welcome, here. See the rules, below.
What other kinds of posts are not permitted?
* No SPAM! This includes:
o Links to muli-level marketing schemes such as pay-to-surf or pay-for-referral sites, whether paid in cash or premiums.
When are negative comments allowed?
* If the post contains improper links, such as click-through referrals, etc. If you know a better link for the same deal, post it in the thread.
Since you are kinda new here I'll elucidate. Now I do
NOT know for sure his was a referral link. I said "potential." Amazon's links are so screwy its hard to tell for sure. Thats why its best just to have the minimum link, which is what I posted. In fact his link looks like a just a harmless search link for that item, so the link I posted is better anyway (even without the potiential issues mentioned above) because it takes you directly to that item. Since I dont know, I haven't accused anyone, I haven't called for this to be locked, I haven't messaged a mod, I haven't even asked him to change his link. I merely posted a link that is certain to be without any potential referrals.
Now, as for WHY these are the rules. The rules are there so people do not make money directly from posting these deals. They do it as a community service. Referrals generally pay some money if the person clicking it purchases an item. (note, I dont mind if he gets the word of mouth credit for finding the deal. Thats why he's the OP. Referral links have nothing to do with that. They have to do with making money off the deal).
There are a TON of reasons why this is bad. I will go over a couple.
a) There are legalities if people start making money directly though AT and posting links. For instance, all those DMCA black friday threats from the big retail store chains might have teeth if AT or posters are making money from them. I think practically all of them have threatened AT and other hot deal sites like FW, SD, etc, in the past few years, BB, OM, OD, staples, CC, etc.
b) Allowing people to post threads they made money off of would instantly turn this into spam paradise. Everyone would be posting ebay auctions to get a wide audiance, everyone would be posting referral links to items (everyone would have a differant referral link too, so on like an amazon deal, there might be 100 posts all on same deal because everyone is now wanting in on a piece of the referral pie).
c) Everyone would start posting links to thier own sites, even if those sites had crappy deals and crappy reseller ratings in hopes of getting a couple more sales. (see this thread asking for a shill to post his deals here for an example, his supposed deal can be found cheaper on amazon. He's not even trying to hide what he's doing)
http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.aspx?catid=40&threadid=1758104
d) Everyone would also start posting scams and MLM/pyramid schemes, for instance, all those FREE IPOD things.
All these reasons are simple, logical and common sense if you think through the consequences.
The place would degenerate into a spam hole, and no one would come here anymore.
So, AT needs to be fairly strict on rules. Even so I've noticed half a dozen spam posts in last couple days. So we need to keep a constant eye out for this. We want to take care of our beloved AT hot deals so it will REMAIN hot deals.
In that spirit, I would ask that you cease from posting what appears to be referral links please.
