So, what's your opinion.
Mine is this. The gameplay is rather interesting. Being a newcomer to the Monster Hunter series, I never experienced an RPG quite like this, except for perhaps, FFXII. The two monsters I fought in the demo both exhibited differing behaviors, and can keep the gameplay interesting, so I have high hopes for the game as a whole. Visuals are among the best I've seen on the 3DS thus far, the monsters looking especially stunning.
However, my singular big complaint lies with the controls. It's a pain-in-the-rear to keep an eye on your target in the best of times, utterly infuriating in the worst. Underwater combat suffers greatly due to this flaw. Games like MGS 3D or RE:R I can manage as most of the enemies are quite slow, however, in MH, both of the bosses/targets are commonly zipping in and out of your view. Dare I plunk down another $20 for the circle pad pro?
I've waited for this game for over a year, and I'm really tempted to get it, but the control for looking around makes for a half-fun, half frustrating experience.
