Let me make this a little more clear. I was going an hour away anyhow, had to stop at Software Etc. So, it was easy enough to pick 'em up as long as I was there. Please bear in mind: I never said these things were the greatest thing on this green Earth, I merely said that they hardly cost any more than the HDTV Bundle with the cables you have to buy, and it looks a *little* bit better. No need to get all excited you guys... $5 difference ain't that big a deal. And don't waste money on cables, that's not my point, I'm just saying, if you can get 'em for $45 like I did, they aren't a bad deal. That make sense enough?

$45.00 for Xbox cables? Don't waste money on cables?

Well the component kit I bought for my xbox - the official ones - cost $20, so the diff is actually $25 he spent on monster!

You have to understand, YES the HDTV Pack is only $20, but you still need to buy a set of component cables for it. Now please guys, relax and blow it off. I'm just stating MY opinion. It was recommended above that I pick these up and share my thoughts on them, I have shared my thoughts. I appreciate your opinion, but I get a little irritated with the flaming, especially from two members that have been here long enough to know better.

To you both, a good day

Why thank yah! 🙂 I do like them, though I agree that there's little difference. The biggest reason I got 'em is because they are one contained unit, whereas Microsoft's HDTV Bundle comes in two parts. I doubt that makes much, if any, difference, but it's less to loose. Hard to misplace a big green cable. Heh.

Skoorb - I just noticed the "Nissan Fanboys" link you have. Kudos on that! I myself drive a 1996 Nissan 200SX SE-R, and I couldn't be happier! They make some nice cars!

I bought the XBOX HD pack and a $12 component cable from Target that works excellent. I am a strong believer that cables are something that you should not overspend on. I am willing to bet you could have used an old set of red/white/yellow cables in place of that component cable and you wouldn't have noticed a difference. I sure as hell didn't when I used one.

You are more than welcome to spend your money on whatever you like.

Now that is a terribly interesting idea. That makes complete sense, but I've never thought of it myself... Using Composite Cables for Component... No reason it shouldn't work, nothin' more than RCA cables either way. Heh... fascinating

Well there are some that will tell you the impedence of a video cable is different than an audio cable(75ohms compared to 300ohms) and that using an audio cable will cause feedback and make your picture look like crap. I experienced none of this when I used a standard r/w/y A/V cable in the place of a component.
