Monster can be worth your time if you have some decent experience of any sort on your resume. If you're entry level, nobody is going to really be searching you out.

I've been contacted by a couple of companies through monster.com or hotjobs.com when they just found my resume (entry level with an MSEE)

Do you people just post your resume hoping that you will land a "good" job? Why wouldnt you be activly searching for jobs that you want and try to get those........?
