Monster cable sucks!!!

I was never impressed with their quality vs. the price. I sure as hell am not impressed now.

Going to spread the word on some other forums I visit.

Wow, that list reads like a complete joke. I mean - are they serious? They can't be....can they?

I really do hope this spreads like wildfire and everyone speaks with their wallets and puts them out of business. I never considered buying Monster cable products before (couldn't afford them) but will absolutely never consider it now. :|

If they really need the money that badly, they could have maybe found something that has at least a remote chance of being some sort of infringement. This kind of blanket suit (over a word that's been in common usage for hundreds of years at that  ) just makes them look like a bunch of money grubbing, greedy assholes, IMO.

Monster sucks.

It looks like they have been doing this for over 14 years.

Will somebody please firebomb their office. And then proceed to the lawyer's office that is officiating this.

I don't get the point of lawsuits like that. There's no way they can win, its just throwing money away.

I feel like starting up a company with the word monster in it just to spite them.

And their products suck!! They charge 5-10 times more for a product you can find anywhere else with the same specs.
The point is that they can pay legal fees, and they trhink they might be able to wipe out the little guy, as he might not be able to.

dont their cables suck anyway? at least as far as affordable ones go, i think they get frowned at by audiophiles by and large.
They actually make very good cables.
The cables just happen cost $50 or more, when you can make a comparable one for ~$5 (maybe less), and even buying straight-up retail, get an equivalent one for under $20.

they are hoping that the companies that they sue will decide it's not worth to fight them and change their names.
How much money did they make last year? Companies that end up going crazy and suing everybody are typically companies that aren't doing that well financially.

Wow, the next time I go into Best Buy (my old workplace) I'm going to bag on the Monster Cable fanboys there like crazy for this. 🙂

these lawyers must be bored to start sh!t like this

Exactly why this country needs some trial reform.

I say if you bring a lawsuit and lose, you have to pay all court costs and a little extra to the defendant for wasting their time.
What if your case was just, yet you couldn't afford to pay for all costs if you lost?

It's a great idea at first. Then, when my neighbor sues for getting bit by my dog, I get Johnny Cochran to defend me for 5 million dollars.

well... time for some people to start some chain emails... Then, have snopes confirm it's true. Enough bad publicity and monster cable will back down.
I'll forward some emails if someone else wants to write them.

I hope it's the beginning of the end for them as indicated by their actions. Seems to me they're trying to expand their money making possibilities into a stupid market (stupid lawsuits).
