Monsoon MM2000, for $199 at CompUSA

Where the heck did you buy the MM2000's for $110?

They list for $299.. I don't see any cheap places to buy either. $200 would seem to be a VERY good price for these speakers. You sure you don't have the MM1000? The MM2000's are Monsoon's version of the Klipsch 4.1s. These are supposed to be pretty damn good too. 60 watts to each satellite and a 100 watt subwoofer.

I have the MM700's and they kick major major major ass.

I think I would die if I heard the 2000's 😀

If they ARE the new MM2000 thats a steal. Big sexy looking woofer (bigger than Klipsch) and flat speakers (4). Funny thing about the Monsoons, the smaller ones sound better than the mediums, but the biggies (2000) are supposed to be the best.
I just wish I knew someplace to listen to them.

Hell, for $110, Id buy em just to look at them

you did good evilerich, I was in Compusa couple of weeks ago and had them in my hands at regular price but resisted because of this forum. Just lurkin for the deal. Will I buy them this weekend? Maybe but trying to lay off the spending right know. No doubt hot and would be jumpin on them if my mood was different.

Rumor is they sound great but aren't party speakers. VERY directional. Like headphones without the head. Perfect for one comfortable chair.

That $110 guy is mostly full of crap...if anything, he's dumb and talking about the MM-1000's which you can find for $140ish+shipping...PM at Staples and use the $30 off coupon and you've got them for around $110.

They're no 2000's though and that guy's a dumbhaus

Holy smokes, the $199 deal is definitely real. (compusa.com has it as the standard price)

I was planning on buying the Klipsch 2.1 for 179, but this seems tempting...

Would you guys rather get this or the 2.1/4.1's? I've heard good things for both.

Muu
