I dont know all that much about this set, but it seems like a good deal. They go for over $100 before shipping elsewhere.

These are the successors of the famous Monsoon MM700's which lacked a bit bass power. This set somes with a new band-pass sub and some high quality flat panel satellites.

I have heard that the musical clarity/accuracy of the satellites is unparalleled, but I am unsure of the bass power. At 35 wRMS (the whole set) it seems sufficient, but maybe someone who owns a set could elaborate. If the bass can get the floor moving, then it seems like quite the deal to me...

These are nice sounding speakers, but they are very directional. You will not hear mids and highs unless you have the sats pointed right at your ears. If your head is an inch too high or an inch too low, you'll be out of the sweet spot.

Now.. The older models didn't have adjustable stands, so it was almost impossible to get in the sweet spot, but I've heard that the newer models have the adjustable stands. I'd make sure before you purchase them if I were you.

Even if you can adjust the stands, these speakers might not be for you if you like to turn on your music and walk around the room. If you don't intend on being in the sweet spot all the time and want ambient music, I'd suggest looking elsewhere.

This is not a thread crap by any means. They are great speakers. I just want people to be aware what they are getting themeselves into.
