Man I have one of the X-Star 2710's and love it. I've been planning on adding 2 more for an Eyefinity setup and even at the cheapest I've come across them on Ebay for $299, this deal is much more tempting. I know it's usually better to try and use three of the same monitors image quality wise, but I wonder how this bad boy would look.

According to the slickdeals sno... I mean forum posters, this monitor is unbalanced out of the box, has contrast shifting, backlight bleeding, no built-in scaling (important if you ever hook it up to a console), and no overclockability. I'm used to crushed highlights in my Asus monitor so this should be a gorgeous experience for me :D

If it was the multi-input with DP, I'd be in, but my DVI is owned by my overlord at this point. But I hope those that bite on this enjoy.

Dang, that is tempting. Thanks for catching it.

Gah, tax kinda kills the deal for my meager savings account.

Is the glass screen worth an extra $40?

I've been wanting to try an IPS panel for awhile now. Might finally be time.

The additional $40 is for the extra inputs (DP and HDMI). I would say it's worth it...

Its my understanding that there is basically 0 input lag in the DVI only model, while all others with some sort of scaler will have some.

Just hooked it up, not a bad pixel in sight... My mini display port to DVI was limited to 1080 so I busted out the included DVI-D cable and have it at full 2560 glory. Just wow. Dwarfs the 22" it replaced.. holy resolution batman! I feel like in the CRT days when you'd run a notch above the rated resolution on a CRT... already getting used to it. The controls are a PITA but they're set it and forget it.
