scary to think you'd put a nice piece of hardware in a kitchen with all that grease in the air... the 13" tv set in our kitchen is covered in sticky stuff. :shocked:Originally posted by: blackdogdeek
it would be perfect in our kitchen but difficult to run the cable and vga to.
someday though.
EDIT: we actually had one for a little while but the reception wasn't so great. it was a great convenience though.
it would just be standard tv (digital cable though)... already have hdtv out in the living room.Originally posted by: aswedc
Are you talking about watching standard TV or HDTV?

A $50 box would let you turn any LCD monitor into a TV...I have one I use with a CRT and it works great. You might be able to save some money doing it that way. Also standard TV doesn't look very good on high resolution devices unless they have deinterlacing, so make sure any monitor you buy has it...Originally posted by: rh71

I think it would depend on the signal for sure... the Dell he had... had component-in but we only used it for GameCube for a short time. Didn't really get to play with it much.Originally posted by: KEV1N
Hmm, of hte LCD TVs I've seen running at stores.. it looks like you're watching TV on your computer. Jaggy and ghosty. Maybe it's because of the signal? Anyway I would prefer a plasma or a good CRT any day.
