I've got a multi-monitor setup for my computer but I'm trying to do something different here.

I have 2 computers and I want 2 monitors hooked up to each. One monitor will function like a single monitor display, the other will show advertisements, videos or pictures and allow the computer to change the content from the primary monitor.

Do I just it up like normal and get some software to do this? If so does anyone know the name of software that will do this?

As I understand it, you got 2 separate computers and using twin monitors on each. You want to run a desktop and video/slideshow on the second monitor x 2? If so, then.

You run separate monitor setup on each computer. You connect to both DVI connectors to both LCDs.
You can run a video/slide show continously on one, and operate a desktop on the other.
I do the same with my video rig all the time. I watch a video while working on the main desktop.

Any decent video card should have settings for mirror, span (1 big virtual monitor) and 2 separate displays.

Either span or separate should let you drag any kind of slide show or other demo program you want to run in the second monitor while leaving your normal icons, etc. showing on monitor one.

It doesn't need to be a dual-DVI video card, it can be 1-VGA 1-DVI, or 2-VGA.
