Monitoring software

My MoBo didn't come with any cool utils that will allow me to monitor things like CPU temp. Can anyone recommend some good generic software apps that will let me do that? I tried motherboard monitor but my mobo isn't listed as one of the choices... will it work anyway if i just pick another ECS board?
