What would be the most ideal and convenient software for monitoring gpu temperatures? Thanks.

What video card do you have?

Yea the vid card does have a temp monitor, it actually came with software for monitoring the temp too, but it jumps around so much I don't trust its reading.

What situations does it fluctuate wildly in? While you sitting there looking at the reading? Or over the course of 10-15 minutes.

My CPU can go from 45 to 60+ and back to 45 Degrees Celcius in about 2 minutes if run a couple instances of prime and shut it off. I imagine a video card can go through the same sort of temperature increase/decrease depending on what you're doing.

Yea well sometimes the jumps seem legitimate, but if I work the video card hard the software sometimes jumps to nearly 100º C suddenly from a previous 45...there's obviously something wrong with the software.

My experience with reading temps is a Leadtek 5900XT. It idles around 40C, and can top out around 85C, jumping as much as 20C in a single second. ATI cards tend to run hotter stock, so I say the readings are legitimate, as long as those jumps do in fact correspond to the card doing some work.
