Hi

We have a wired network running Windows SBS and Windows XP clients. We share a ADSL connection using Linksys Wireless N ADSL2+ Gateway, which is connected to Switch.

Since our ISP has volume cap on the ADSL connection, I would like to know the bandwidth consumed by each user on a daily/monthly basis. Is there a logging solution for this?

I am pretty much a newbie with networking issues, so not sure if I have given all the necessary details. Don't even know if this is the right forum..

Thanks in advance to all..

if you have SBS premium you could (and should) use ISA 2004 and set the SBS server up as the router (instead of the Linksys)

Not sure about ISA's reporting, but iirc it could report b/w on a per user basis.

No, you shouldn't.

SteveBlack, it's a matter of cost vs. ease of use. The easy solution would be to get a low-end Cisco router, like an 800 series with two Ethernet connections, and then to have it send NetFlow data to one of your servers. From there you can figure out who's doing what and their volume.
