there seems to be no cpu temperature sensor in the abit bh6 mobo. the only temperature displayed in the BIOS and in SiSoft Sandra are the system/board temperatures. i went to the Motherboard monitor websites to check and it also says there's no cpu sensor for the bh6.

how can i monitor the temperature of my cpu then? i just installed a celeron 600 and overclocked it to 900. i want to monitor the temperature to make sure it doesn't overheat.

thanks!

Motherboard Monitor, or Hmonitor. The BH6 doesn't have a sensor for cpus, because intel cpus has them built in.

Bump!

I'm wondering the exact same thing. I've got a Cel566 doing 850 on my BH6 with the retail HSF, and Motherboard Monitor (and the BIOS) report a stable temp of 27 deg. C under load. Seems too low to be the CPU temp, but what the hell do I know? (That's rhetorical, thank you:)).

Does the BH6 receive and/or report a CPU temp signal from a Celeron II? And like he said, what's the difference between the LM79 reading and the LM79 Tekram reading in MBM?

Thanks!!

the BH6 is incapable of reading the internal diode. You can get either an external temp probe(which will report lower than cpu core temps) or you're out of luck wtih that MB.
