Monitoring 60 branches

Hi,

I would like to setup monitoring of 60 branches.
Only thing I would like to monitor is if there is connection or not..
So regular ping on every 5min to ping each of 60 branches and then to show on graph in history if there was a connection or not.
So I would like for example in april to take a look which of those 60 branches didnt have connection to the central location - and for how long.
It would be even nice to have those infos in percentage.
For example location 37 in april had 90% of time connection. And of course it would be really nice to know on which day, what time there was no connection.

Could someone please help me setup this and what program should I use?

smokeping is linux/unix, there are some windows guide out there..

If you have budget, whats up gold from ipswitch is pretty nice. Will do not only uptime reports but also throughput reports, latency etc.

Something like this completely depends on your budget. If all you want is a ping test with history, there are lots of free linux tools out there. But if you're not versed in linux, the learning curve on setting them up is steep. Something like Nagios, Cacti fall within that area.

If you want a Windows installation, Whatsupgold has already been mentioned, PRTG can do heck a lot more than ping tests for a relatively cheap price. Like I said, it all depends on your budget.

Pay = easy install. Free tools = longer setting it up (usually).
