Monitor won't turn on, but not GPU problem

Hello!

I was on a trip for 24 days, when I returned and tried to turn on the computer it won't work.

Symptoms:

Case lights turn on
PSU fan is on
All the case fans are working but the top fan
GPU fan is on
I swapped out the GPU to a lower model - lower wattage and same results
The CPU light flickers like the system is trying to boot.

Things that are obvious:
Top fan is not working
My mouse slot on the Mobo is not working but if I switch it to a UBS it works
No video but everything is on and memory light is good.

Is this a MOBO problem?

Thanks for your help!!!

Welcome to the forums. Please post your computer specs so we know what you're working with (make/model or mobo, graphics card, PSU, OS etc.). As a quick generic troubleshooting step; reseat all components and wiring connectors, then clear the CMOS and test if it will POST and boot normally.

Nice system...When you left on your trip did you leave the 750TX switched off, or unplugged? I'm wondering if there's a chance it may have been subjected to a power surge that damaged it.

Another scenario that's not uncommon, after a prolonged period of being powered off, is for a component that was on the verge of failing to immediately fail when powered on again. Are you hearing any kind of error beeps?

If reseating connectors and clearing the CMOS doesn't correct the issue, do you have another good PSU you can test with before you have to start elimination troubleshooting (board out of the case and the bare minimum of components connected)?

I reseated all the components and cleared CMOS by removing the battery on the mobo because I cannot enter CMOS due to the lack of power to my monitor.

Any other options or should I order a new MOBO?

The system was off the whole time but I forgot to unplug it or turn off the 750TX. It could be that as you said a component that was on the verge finally blew.
The reason I think it is the MOBO is becase my mouse plug in the back is not working now, but when I plug the mouse into a USB it works, so that one slot is shot which might be the mobo. If that is the case then maybe there are other parts that went as well and that's why I'm not getting a gpu signal.

I don't have an extra PSU.

There's always the possibility that it is the mobo but you should consider troubleshooting your components first so that you know exactly what you need to spend your money on. Which mouse port and which USB ports are you referring to when you say "my mouse plug in the back is not working now, but when I plug the mouse into a USB it works"? Do you mean just the PS/2 mouse port isn't working, but all the USB ports on the I/O panel are?

I have seen dying SATA drives cause an issue like this. If you unplug all the drives (HD, CD, etc.) does anything change?
