Alright installed my new mobo:

which I also installed my new cpu:

http://www.newegg.com/app/view...tion=19-103-486&depa=0

Also put in;

http://www.newegg.com/app/view...tion=20-145-440&depa=0

alright I hook everything basically needed...turn it on...and my monitor stays on the standby posistion..(basically just when the computer is off)...

The PSU turns on, the heatsink turns on, the other fans turn on...Just no monitor activity...What happened? What do I need to do? :(

*EDIT* Oh and I have a Nvidia Ti4600...and the fan on it is going as well, so I know its working...

Welcome to the Forums :) If you could post your full specs, including the brand and model of the power supply, that would help. Here's a start:

1) make sure you got your ATX12V cable plugged into the motherboard

2) make sure you did mount the motherboard on standoffs

3) check to be certain that your keyboard is plugged into the purple port, not the green one

Hope that helps :)

Ok now I got another problem though lol...everything powers up fine...now when I try to boot up it goes to the loading windows XP pro for just a split second then shows the blue screen saying "Windows has detected a problem blah blah..." Any suggestions for this one?

BTW, thanks for the welcome...

The best way out of the Windows blue-screen situation is to reinstall Windows from scratch. If you do, then I recommend starting Windows Setup, getting to the point where it shows the partitions, delete all the existing partitions, and then press F3 twice to exit Windows Setup. Now start Windows Setup a second time and carry on with the Setup this time. This prevents having it offer two WinXP installations at the bootup, not that it's the end of the world if it does... it can also be corrected from Windows, but my way's slightly simpler :)

Thanks for all your help. I kind of concluded that I would have to re-install it, so I have already started the process. Thanks again!

You're welcome :) Make sure to take precautions against worms attacking your computer directly through your connection: anti-worm tips and also some ongoing security suggestions there too. If you remember to do just one thing: make sure the computer has firewall protection before you let it connect to the modem or to any other computers.
