The highest option i get is for 75Hz at which it flickers. I got a IBM P260 whose specs say that it shoudl be able to do the rez i want at 85Hz. Could the vid card be the limiting factor? (i got Creative Labs Geforce 2 GTS 64DDR). Also i am using VGA cable, would moving to DVI help? (my current card doesnt have DVI out - thinking of getting Ti4200 if it ever comes out)

I would check the maximum res of the video card, and refresh rate. Also, even though your Monitor says it can hadle 85Hz, what was the resoulution it said that it could handle that rate at? If it's 1024x768 @ 85Hz ( for example ), you won't be able to get that at any higher res Not sure about Creative's cards, but most GF2's have a max res of 1280x1024@75Hz. If you have the latest drivers for both the monitor & vid card, you are most likely looking at the most you can produce..

the specs say it can handle 1600x1200@85 so thats no problem but how do i check max rez of my vid card? (keeping in mind that i CAN run 1600x1200@75 but not at 85 :( )
