Monitor woes

Last night when my monitor switched resolutions, things got a lot darker. I have tried messing with the brightness, but now it seems stuck. It's like I just turned the brightness down a whole lot but now I can't get it to go back. Does anyone know if my monitor is fried or if there is anyway of salvaging it? Thanks!
 
Does it click when it change resolution?
If it uses relays, one of them might have stucked.

If you don't know anything about monitor repair, then it's bye2 time. Sorry
 
Make sure the voltage levels are on the correct setting.

If you have an OSD monitor (Which i imagine you would as most people do these days :confused😉 then go into the misc panel or advanced options or sumthing, and change the voltage level.

Thanks for the help. Fortunately, when I turned it back on this morning, it was all better. I'm just crossing my fingers. This monitor has been on 1 too many transcontinental UPS trips. Dented, discolored, etc.

It's a Sony g400 btw.
