I just got a new monitor. 19" NEC as95f.

I have a voodoo3 2000 @166hz.....

I have set the monitor geometry and rgb levels to my satisfaction. I'm running at 85hz refresh rate at all resolutions except 1600x1200 (75hz)....

At resolutions higher than 1024x768 I start to see a ripple effect on the left\right edges of the screen. It's hard to describe, I hope someone will know what I'm talking about. It's not that the image has ripples in it, it's more like the little pixels go from being little squares or dots to being little vertical lines about 1/16" to 1/8" long in groups of 4-5. In between these horizontal rows it looks smooth (no lines). This is mostly noticable on the outer 1/2" of the screen.

At 1024 or lower this does not occur.

I am planing on upgrading to a radeon all in wonder soon, but would you guess this to be an issue with the V3 or the AS95F?

I was hoping to run at 1280x1024. I'm just not sure if I'm reaching the limits of the V3, maybe because it's overclocked or if I should be more concerned with the monitor. I have installed the AS95f drivers.

hmmmm, it's kind of tough to say without actually seeing it. I'm kind of thinking you may have a bad monitor. Does it change with higher or lower refresh rates? See if you have something in the onscreen adjustments for "moire" i think is what it's called. Try adjusting that and see if it changes anything.
