Monitor Upgrade or Nah?

I have had the ASUS VP247H-P for several years now but have thought about getting a different monitor for gaming. I'd be keeping this as secondary if I did.

GPU is XFX RX480 GTR

Budget is $200 max

Any help is appreciated!

I recently made the change to a 144hz monitor for gaming and thought it was worth the switch.

That rx480 could easily do pretty well on a 2K monitor but that probably doesn't fit the $200 budget... maybe a nice 1080p 120hz+ can be nabbed in that price range? I've seen a deal a few times on slickdeals, although nothing currently.

I guess the budget does have some wiggle room. I just don't want someone suggesting a $700 monitor! I saw an AOC for $205 144hz but it is uglier than the spawn of Leatherface and Chewbacca.

When I bought that monitor, sandy bridge launch, it was awesome. Still works great but I would like to see something 144hz I suppose.
