Monitor turns white in sleep or power save mode

At work my monitor is a ctl LP2361 hooked to a Dell docking station running Win 7 Enterprise. When the monitor goes into sleep mode the screen turns solid white. I think the LCD array is shutting off but the background LED lighting is staying on. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Sounds like a setting in the docking station is shutting off the signal, but not shutting off the monitor's power. To test this, if possible, connect the monitor directly to the host computer. This bypasses the docking station. Then see if the same problem persists.

Good call. Moving the monitor to the laptop allows it to sleep properly. Now I have to figure out how to look at and change settings on the docking station. Thanks!
