Monitor turning blank

Hi there i have noticed something unusual in my computer in the recent days...

While working on my computer, suddenly the monitor screen in turning blank..( just like switching off the monitor) at this point of time nothing works but every thing is on...
Even the RESET button dosent work... What i do is switch the power button off and then RESTART the computer again ....

Is there any problem with the motherboard or SMPS or the display card..
Please help me fix the problem..

System configration..
1. Windows XP sp2
2. Radeon 8500 64mb display card
3. 512MB RAM
4. 80GB hard drive..

I don't know...you should just debug the problem. Switch monitors and see if the problem still occurs. If so, it's not your monitor. After that switch video cards or maybe just video drivers. Narrow down where the problem is coming from and eventually you'll find the source.

Sounds like your computer is crashing somehow. Doubt it's your monitor. Could it be a heat or power issue? Try in Technical Support, you'll get more answers there.
