Okay so here's the situation.
My brothers fan died on his 9800 pro so we were going to put back in his old card(old ati card) and use that until the 9800 is fixed. When that card is in the monitor displays the boot up and windows loading screens. Once it gets to where it should go into windows, the screen displays
"Not optimum mode use recommended setting (1280x1024 60 Hz)"
So I know what this means but the problem is I have no way to change this since I can't see anything in windows. I need to probably change the refresh rate to a rate the monitor can accept.
So I tried to put in my 9800 pro and run off analog(the only thing available on the old old card) and switch it to a good setting. Unfortunately, everything comes up fine with that card.
So it looks like its changing to a different default setting when I try to swap for a different card. Anyone have any idea how to change this?
I tried booting in safe mode too BTW
