monitor trouble

Having trouble with a monitor. After awhile of running the monitor would show a discoloration in the top right quadrant. The discoloration would go away then come back again.
I switched monitors with a friend to test. His monitor works very well with my computer and mine works well with his; no problem. He is using xp pro i'm using win 2000 pro.
The monitor in question is 6 months old.
How is this possible working on his but not on mine. Darn frustrated situation anty help appreciated🙂

Have any un-shielded speakers or other electromagnetic device near your monitor?

there are speakers but they are about 5ft away from the monitor:Q

I know it's a long shot, but have you tried a different power cord or surge protector?

Look around a see if there is any other Mag device

Trying monitor again🙂 Moved speakers about 4 ft away from the monitor. win xp picked up new drivers for the vid card. Hopeing it works this time😉
