Any VGA resolution over 640X480 looks a little shaky with my new Fatal1ty 7600 using dvi-- to VGA connector supplied to Westy 37w3. The Westy supports 1080P input via VGA, and has had NO problems with other PC's with DVI connected, but image gets blurry and jittery at 1920X1080 and the whole screen that I should be able to see is moved from right to left about twenty percent.. so.. black 4 inch bar on right side of Monitor and can't see start, etc., on left side.. any ideas? I tested with two different PC's, different motherboards and two different video cards and two different Monitors, but.. over VGA from the nvidia 7600's.. max really clear image over VGA I have found is 640X480. viewable and able to work with up to 1280X1024, as long as left side of screen not cut off, but 1920X1080 is just too jittery..and missing the left four inches ...

Ideas, suggestions.. Does nvida support DVI-I to various connections at true 1080P in the 7 series, or how about in the new 8 series??

Also, would this work with Ati?

I need some help, DAAMIT! LOL

You know that there are two 1920x1080 modes: 1080p without interlacing and 1080i with interlacing... Do you know which one is being enabled?

Isn't there "AUTO" button for VGA mode that should let monitor adjust itself?

The Westy by all accounts will accept a 1080P signal. I do not know what takes place over the VGA or what is to be expected or what the video card enables.

I am using the VGA right now with the Westy using an old Ati 1800 card. There is a clear picture, unlike the nVidia 7600, but what I see is cropped off on both sides.

So.. clear picture is good, nvidia does not appear to support vga at as high of a resolution as Ati, but.. even with Ati.. I am losing thirty percent on the edges. four inches of blacknes on both sides of screen.

nVidia cards have always been *bad* at VGA-output, especially above 1280x1024. You shouldn't notice problems at 800x600 tho; if you do you have super-vision!

It could be a cable issue, or perhaps something to do with the refresh rate. Try another VGA cable if possible. Also try another port on the graphics card if you can.

You will probably have better luck with ATI when it comes to VGA output. Matrox was always the best at it but their best card is the Parhelia (old and slow).
