Monitor temps for SATA RAID drives?

I have an ASUS a8n-e mobo and twin SATA drives with RAID-1. The drives have SMART chips but cannot find a way to access. None of the software I have (Sandra / Everest) will display. Just curious on this, as if they were running too warm, I would do another cooler. Mobo running at about 31c most of the time, with 120mm main (exhaust) fan running full speed all the time. Ideas?
Thanks!

Speedfan no workie -- uninstalled it. This is a RAID array... Does anyone have RAID and are monitoring temps?

It all depends on the controller. fyi most raid controllers don't pass through smart readings (or alternatively a controller may not pass through smart readings in RAID mode even if it does in jbod), I know my promise controller doesn't.
