Hi, I've got a crappy gateway monitor (cant complain too much it was free) its set to 75Hz but whenever I go into a game it automatically goes back to 60Hz (or at least thats what it says in the menu thingy)
Anyone know whats going on?
thx

You can use powerstrip to force the refresh rate for games. It works for both ati and nvidia.

powerstrip. newer drivers sometimes also have forced refresh in games in the advanced display settings tabs.

If the game uses DirectX go to RUN > DXDIAG > click on more help tab > Override > then enter the refresh rate you want to use.

This will make any DirectX game run at the specified HZ you entered.
