Monitor Switch not Working Right

I have an old Sony tube monitor (1995) and lately when I push the switch on power button the power light blinks on for a second and goes out. If I unplug the monitor and replug it, often I need to do it 3 or 4 times, then it will catch and turn on. So it seems like something is wrong with the switch. Can I open up the switch of the monitor and fix it or is the monitor gone.
I supposed it's about time to get a new monitor but if something can be useful then I will always try to use it as along as I can. Those old Sony monitors, even in 1995, had very good dot pitch for sharpness.
