Monitor supports DVI to YPbPr - where to find cable?

I bought a Sceptre X20G Naga III monitor. It only has DVI and Dsub connectors. The manual states that the monitor can be connected to a HD source (like a cable box) by using a DVI to YPbPR adapter cable.

The problem is that they do not sell this cable on their website. I have looked for hours online without finding one. I want to use this monitor for TV only and it sounds like I can do this. I just can't find the adapter.

Anyone know where I can find one or have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Kevin

Well, the specifications for your monitor do state you can get an optional cable that does what you need, named x20comp. You might have to call them and see if they will sell you one.

Otherwise, if that doesn't work, you can try a different DVI-component adapter. This one from ATI may be what you're looking for.

Yeah, I called them but only got voicemail, so I hope they will call back.

I looked at the adapter you linked to before posting. I don't know much about this subject so I just assumed that adapter was just for going from ATI video cards to other devices. Maybe it will work with what I'm trying to do. I'll try it if I can't get one from Sceptre.

As a regular pc monitor, this big cheap thing is very nice. $379 from Costco.

Thanks,

Kevin

It may or may not work with your monitor, but it's worth a try if that's your only alternative. ;)

I find it very odd that they obviously have a cable but theres nowhere to buy it though...

Yeah ebay is the best place to get these cables.
I got a DVI-HDMI adapter for $6. They start at $18 anywhere else.

Does this work for any graphics card and monitor? Must the graphics card have DVI-I out or will DVI-D suffice? I'm guessing it needs the -I because YPbPr is also analog?

I don't know much about connectors. You can't go from component to DVI-I with this can you?
