Monitor Suggestions?

We are looking for some good monitors for office use in a medical clinic. Currently we are using the Dell U2414H and our doctors are complaining of headaches and saying they want higher quality monitors. Been doing some research but thought I would pop in here and see what you guys thought.

We are hoping to get 24" Monitors in the $400 range but if we have to spend more we can. Number of connections and features don't matter as much as quality and comfort. HDMI or DP is fine.
 
I use two Dell U2415s at work. All monitors out of the box are insanely bright, so maybe that's contributing to their headaches. On mine, I have the brightness reduced to 6% and it's not too dark at all. Might want to gradually reduce it first if it's set high before buying new ones.
 
I've been using a U2414H for 3 years almost daily and haven't had any issues. It's certainly a quality monitor. I agree with the above suggestion. Check the settings.
 
The ultrasharp series are generally pretty darn good, I too would suggest trying to calibrate them. There are calibration tools you can buy for under $100 (although IIRC, all Ultrasharp come factory calibrated, not 100% sure anymore). So it may just be as simple as adjusting brightness.

Also I assume they aren't working in dark rooms? If they are, get some ambient light near the monitor. Having the monitor as the only or the overly major source of light in a room would not be good.
