Ok here is my problem, I recently built a computer and am waiting until I get paid until I buy a monitor. So i'm using the one from my old hp from 2001. The monitor model is mx70. So I plug it in and it works for the first couple of days.

I overclocked my graphics card(a 6800LE unlocked 16, 6) using rivatuner from 300/700 to 390/900. I did it on both 2d/3d tabs. So I stress tested it with that program thats really hard to remember, rtddhesj, or something like that. Then I ran 3dmark 05 a few times, all was good.

Then I was playing the AOE 3 demo and was changing graphical options and turned on vsync. Well when I did my monitor went into the power saving mode which means it is on but the screen is black and the light changed from green to orange. Oh and also the power button on the front stopped working, it only let me turn it on from the switch on the back.

I tried to fix it but no luck, so I plugged it into the other computer and it works just fine. I tried again today and it worked, I saw it turned on and left it, but when I came back it was the same problem.

Then after messing with it for a litle bit I unplugged the graphics card molex and took it out of the agp slot and put it back in, turned it on and it worked again, so did the power button. After it was working for a little bit I decided to mess with the msi software oc'ing program to see how high my ram could go. Well it froze at about 220mhz.

I reset using the reset button and it go to the msi boot screen and it froze there. So I turned it off and same problem. Haven't gotten it to work since. Any ideas as to why it isnt working. Here are my specs:
neo 2 plat
3200+ venice
6800LE unlocked to 16, 6
480w Antec true power II powersupply.

The FSB is still set too high. YOu need to clear the CMOS by jumpering. Or you can try by passing the exisitng setting by holding down on the INS key while powering the system. First shut down the system and then hold down the INS key and then power up. Keep holding the INS until the system boots. As soon as the system boots, press DEL key and enter bios. Lower your settings. You might have to do this more than once to boot.

that, and don't try and turn vsync back on. :D

and if you want to OC, don't start in windows IMHO. head into the CPU forum and look up Zebo's Quick and Dirty A64 Overclocking Guide. 220 fsb 1:1 is too high unless you have ram rated at at least that speed. You will have to use a divider to reach higher FSB speeds.
