I posted this in the motherboard forum here, but found out about this forum after..
I recently purchased a DFI Lanparty Ultra-D NF4. I installed it into my new case and installed the ram, hard drive, dvd drive, floppy drive, and video card. I plugged all of the cables into the right place and checked them again. Then, when I go to boot up everything seems fine, except for that the monitor won't turn on when the computer turns on. I thought this was strange, so I tried a different monitor, it also had the same outcome. I can see that the LEDs on the board are turned on and everything, although, there is a red LED near the bottom left of the motherboard if the computer is standing up. There is also an orange one up near the top. I even swapped video cards with a friend to see if that was the problem, but my video card worked fine in his computer, but his, didn't. Seeing that both of the video cards do not work on my computer, I think that there is something wrong with the motherboard? I've tried putting a video card in both of the PCI-E x16 slots, but no luck at all. I also saw that when I pulled the motherboard out of the box, the EZ Touch Switches were out of their places and loosely jumbling around inside of the bag. Does this have anything to do with it? Do you have any suggestions on what I should do to fix this? Or do I just have to return it for a new one?
Thanks guys,
Moe
