Right well as the title suggests I'm looking for a good monitor, speakers, keyboard and mouse. I have a budget of £300, which is probably useless as most of you are American. Anyway, I've been searching and have found some options. They'll all be used for gaming on my new PC which is coming soon.

Monitors: Samsung Syncmaster B2230H 21.5" http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-Sync...2908551&sr=8-1

LG W2261VP 22" - http://www.amazon.co.uk/LG-W2261VP-i...908551&sr=8-13

Samsung P2370HD 23" - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-P237...909007&sr=8-26

All look good to me. I want it to look good, and don't want any more than 23".

Speakers: Creative Gigaworks T20 Series II http://www.amazon.co.uk/Creative-Gig...2909163&sr=8-8

Creative Gigaworks T40 Series II - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Creative-Gig...909232&sr=8-16

Logitech X540 - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-X-5...909202&sr=8-41

Again, all look good. But I'm not sure if I'd want a 5.1 system due to limited space. Is it needed for PC gaming? Also, the lack of a sub woofer on the first two links seem weird to me. Do I need a sub woofer?

Keyboard: Microsoft Sidewinder X4 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Microsoft-Si...2909333&sr=1-2

Razer RZ03 Lycosa - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Razer-RZ03-0...2909333&sr=1-3

Logitech G110 - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-920...2909333&sr=1-6

Like the look of the Microsoft Sidewinder X4 due to its looks and simplicity.

Mouse: Logitech G500 - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-910...2909578&sr=1-1

Looks great, and looks comfy. Always liked this shape of Logitech mice. Anything better?

Sorry for the long thread but theres a lot of options out there. Ill most likely be gaming in 1920 x 1080. What size monitor do you guys recommend? Cheers.

I can vouch for the G110. My wife currently uses it and loves it. I look at it from where I sit, but I haven't used it

It all nice stuff, but I think that it is hard for most members here to react because the price structure (USA) is not the same.

Yeh I agree. Well I've decided on the mouse and keyboard. I'm going with the Razor keyboard. I'm now wondering whether I need surround sound. Will a sub woofer make the sound much better and have more impact? Finally, I've found a monitor that i really like the looks of.

Its a Samsung BX2250 22 inch LED monitor. I like the LED screens because they are so thin. Are there any negatives of them? The only issue with this screen is that it has no DVI output so I'd have to use HDMI. Would I connect the monitor to the graphics card via HDMI?

You can certain connect your monitor, via HDMI, to your graphics card. You'll need an adapter, unless your card already has a connector for HDMI.

As for keyboard and mouse suggestions, I can't really recommend a good set, as everyone has their personal preferences for what they want. I've had some good luck with a MX518, but again everyone has their preferences.

Speakers, you could probably pick up (cheaper) Logitech speakers (http://www.logitech.com/en-us/speakers-audio/home-pc-speakers/devices/7191), thought if you look around online, you might be able to find a cheaper set.

As for a monitor, I just recently picked some Acer G215H's for work and I love the increase in resolution. While I will only be using these for office work, I own another pair of Acer monitors strictly for gaming. They're decent, though they're nothing compared to an LED monitor. But for the price you can't beat them. Might have to consider them, depending on how much you spend on the keyboard, mouse and speakers.

Cheers for the input. Ive found some nice 2.0 Creative speakers. Just not sure whether to go for 2.0 or 5.1 with a sub woofer.

The Gigaworks 2.0 speakers are actually quite good in terms of sound quality. The 5.1 Logitech will give you more of a bass thump, but the overall sound quality will not be as good IMHO.

Yeh I was thinking the same. Also take up less space. Does a sub woofer make a big difference for PC gaming?

Eh, only if you're interested in getting feedback from gun fire, or racing engines (depending on what you play for gaming). Mostly sub-woofers are great for different types of music (but again depends on what kind of music you listen to).
