I downloaded and installed someone else's settings file for a Dell 2209WA (LUT Mgr). How does one tell what settings that file makes? The file itself in FileAlyzer 2 shows lots of hex, and I don't see any changes in Dell's manual settings. Thanks.

I'm not very well versed in this, but is it a .icc profile? That's what I downloaded for my Dell 30", and it is applied using the Color Management settings tab in Display Properties > Advanced Settings > Color Management

It's an .icm file. What I'm asking is how does one see which specific settings the file has made. They don't show in Dell's onscreen controls or in the video card control center.

If you use windows XP and install the color management applet you can view the gamut covered by the .icm profile. That's really not going to tell you much though. If its a .icm file that's most likely the file that came with the monitor itself and is therefore an "average" gamut covered by that display.

It's a file that another user of that monitor created and made available. You're correct that Color Mgt doesn't show the setting specifics.
