Monitor Setting: Hemisphere?

Just got a Hitachi CM823F and i'm tweaking the settings, but I'm not sure what to do with this one. The options are Northern Hemisphere mode and Southern hemisphere mode. Anyone know exactly what this does, and will it make a difference either way? I tryed both settings, the screen just moved to the left a bit on northern mode. (Default was Southern)
 
wow, i've never heard of that!

i guess technically the magnetic poles are different depending on your hemisphere...and monitors are based on magnetism as far as directing electrons toward the screen....so unless you're posting from down south, keep it on northern!
