I currently have a Dell 24" 2405FPW. I had this monitor for a while, and have no particular complaints about it. However, I am beginning to think it may be time to upgrade. I mostly use it for games. I am looking to get a monitor between 24" to 30" in size. Ideal price range would be $300 max. My question is about the resolution. Right now I run my monitor at its native 1920x1200. A lot of 23/25" monitors I see this days are 1920x1080. Are there downsides in scaling down to 1080 from 1200?
What is a good monitor to get for around $300? Is LED worth getting over LCD?

Thanks.

Any 23-27" monitor that you can get for $300 would be a significant downgrade from your 2405. Stick with what you've got.
