Monitor selection advice

I am looking at getting a 24" monitor for gaming (primary focus) and email/web browsing, and I have been looking at a couple of Asus models.

The Asus VE248H, currently $200 with free shipping on NE, and the ML248H which is $210 with $9 shipping.

I am no monitor pro, but the main differences appear to be the pixel pitch (0.277mm on the VE and 0.265mm on the ML), and the aesthetics of the case. The ML is missing DVI input and only has HDMI, but makes up for it by including an HDMI to DVI cable. (Important?....)

Also, the ML has a blurb on its page saying "The ML248H works as a secondary screen for your notebook; and has been ergonomically designed to be level with your eyes and notebook screen." I'm not sure what this means... is it marketing fluff, or is it lower than a normal screen? I am fine with normal monitor height but don't want to be looking any lower.

In summary:
I do like the aesthetic looks of the ML, but I don't want it to be annoyingly low in height, and I'm not sure if the 0.012mm pixel pitch will be noticeable enough to justify the extra $19.

Any recommendations?

In thinking about this more I am a little confused as to how they are both 24" with 16:9 1920x1080 and yet have different pixel pitch. Mustn't there be more pixels per sq in if the pixels are smaller?

I have the ML version of the 28" and it is great(got it for $239 a few months ago). These are LED backlit too even though most places don't mention it.

The HDMI to DVI work fine, and I even used the VGA to DVI and the picture isn't really any different.

As for the height, I dont have the exact model in front of me so I can't comment, but mine is adjustable...it is missing the option to rotate vertically though.

I've had this monitor for a few weeks and its great

Have you noticed a considerable difference between 60hz and 120hz?

Also, in your opinion how much picture quality would I be sacrificing compared to the ML above to get the 120hz.

Bad company 2 feels a lot smoother especially in intense scenes likes explosions and smoke and building destruction.
