My Sony 19" crt monitor screen now shakes off and on. Degaussing doesnt really help. Would this be a video card problem? Ive had this system stable for about 2 years and it started doing it tonight.

Make sure there are no electromagnetic devices near your monitor. One time I put a walkie-talkie near my CRT and it got all messed up. If you recently got a wireless mouse or anything try moving it away from the monitor...

While other components of a computer system may be shielded, the monitor is still susceptible to interference from other magnetic field sources such as scanners, fluorescent lights, power transformers and other VDTs. Monitor interference is evidenced by image jitter, distortion or loss of color integrity, and is a growing problem in offices and home work areas.
