Monitor Revisions

I just recieved my new Gateway FPD2185W. Its a nice monitor and all, but after reading the serial number I noticed that it was the R0. I noticed on Gateway's website that they have an R1 out. So Im guessing I recieved the earlier revision.

Same thing happened when I ordered my previous Samsung.

Just seems like its always a crapshoot when ordering a new monitor to get the lateest revision.

Are monitor revisions usually major? Is it worth searching for a newer revision?

(I know the new 2007WFP have had major revision upgrades)

 
Luck of the draw in terms of what they have in stock. I'd call them up and ask to be givn the latest revision (NEW, not refurbished)

The Dell 2007 is up to A02 to fix the terrible banding problems, but even getting an A02 is hard apparantly.
