Well i have a game that if ur montior res is diff then the one in game the game res get's messed up. So the simple fix is to set them the same BUT using that high of a res for my montior makes it hard to read stuff on the web. Now using ctrl key and rolling the mouse will make text bigger but not all the text. My question is there a way to make all the text bigger?? Btw front size didn't help nor did changing dpi. To read what im wrighting right now i have to get right up close to the screen running 1280 by 960

res i like for game 1280 by 960

res i can read on internet explorer is 1152 by 864

Mon is small 17 inch

Set your monitor up for your resolution/refresh rates and they won't get "messed up" when switching between games and the desktop.

Well i guess i spoke to soon. It worked till i turn off the game and when back in then it was messed up. So maybe i don't understand what u are telling me to do? What i thought u wanted me to do was to make the refresh rates for both the monitor and the game the same. I set it to 72 for both and it work as long as res was the same when i started the game then change it to what i wanted.

So anyother ideas

You may have to "force" the refresh rate in your game to the refresh rate you use to set your monitor up for that particular resolution.

For instance, in Catalyst drivers you can use the "same as desktop" setting which forces games to use the same refresh rate as your desktop. It also allows you to force a specific refresh rate like "85Hz" for everything.
